{"id":26339,"date":"2020-07-02T10:16:35","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T10:16:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saharafootball.net\/?p=26339"},"modified":"2020-07-02T10:16:35","modified_gmt":"2020-07-02T10:16:35","slug":"womens-premier-league-players-benefit-yea-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saharafootball.net\/womens-premier-league-players-benefit-yea-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Women\u2019s Premier League players to benefit from YEA Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Women\u2019s Premier League players to benefit from YEA Programme<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>The Ghana Football Association has reached a consensus to enroll players in the Women\u2019s Premier League on the YEA Programme.<\/h3>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7515973527815049\" data-ad-slot=\"5197133662\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nThe Executive Council took the decision during a marathon meeting at the GFA headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Five hundred individuals have been earmarked as beneficiaries \u2013 made up of the 30 registered players each from the 16 Women\u2019s Premier League clubs (totaling 480) and 20 other persons in the league.<\/p>\n<p>Each person will be paid five hundred Ghana cedis (GH\u00a2500.00) as a monthly allowance for the next six (6) months beginning from July 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The National Sports Authority (NSA) and Youth Employment Agency (YEA), on Friday, June 27, 2020, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to kick-start the programme.<\/p>\n<p>The implementation of this policy is the vision of YEA Board Chairman Sammi Awuku who has been at the forefront in all deliberations in involving all the parties and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7515973527815049\" data-ad-slot=\"5197133662\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><br \/>\nSpeaking to the GFA Communications team about the development, representative of women\u2019s football on the Executive Council, Madam Habiba Atta Forson, expressed joy and thanked government for coming to their aid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is such a piece of exciting news for women\u2019s football. The initiative from YEA has been given to the women by the Executive Council. So this time around, we are going to give some kind of employment packages to our women,&#8221; she stated.<\/p>\n<p>Madam Habiba Atta noted that \u201cthis intervention will benefit our women a lot. You know, in women\u2019s football we don\u2019t have paying spectators and so there is no money.
