The Black Maidens of Ghana displayed an impressive 3-1 win against Guinea in the 1st\u00a0leg of the FIFA Women\u2019s U-17 World Cup India 2022, third round qualifier in Conakry on Saturday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Captain Georgina Aoyem started the scoring for the Side in the 13th minute of the game before\u00a0Rasheeda Shahadu doubled Ghana\u2019s score as the Maidens went into the break with ahead of their opponents.<\/p>\n

After the recess, Guinea reduced the deficit as they scored in the 47th minute after tapping in from close range to make it 2-1.<\/p>\n

Striker Mariam Matiti Iddi\u2019s tireless work upfront yielded results as she flicked on Success Ameyaa\u2019s cross to register Ghana\u2019s 3rd goal in the 59th minute.<\/p>\n

The tempo of the game dropped after the third but the Black Maidens showed a great level of experience and dexterity as they held on to win the 1st leg 3-1 in Conakry.<\/p>\n

The 2nd leg will take place at the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday, April 30, 2022.<\/p>\n
